In 1996, Sofia graduated from the prestigious Andrews University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.
Her practice of physical therapy began over ten years ago. Her first two years were in rural Colorado treating the financially challenged pursued by two years in Michigan. Followed by four years, in the Greater Springfield area she managed two NovaCare Rehabilitation Centers while simultaneously serving as their Primary Physical therapist.
In Mid September of 2004, after managing these two nationwide physical therapy centers for four years, Sofia became extremely disillusioned with the 'mechanical practice' of large corporate physical therapy centers. With a desire to remove patients from a status quo of assemble line form of treatment and a need to give each patient individual attention resulting in the quality treatment deserving in the name of healing; Sofia opened "Rehab Resolutions, Inc."
Sofia’s approach is both unique and extensive. The rehabilitation process begins with a comprehensive biomechanical evaluation to identify the target tissues and related movement dysfunctions. Highly trained in the specialized practice of "Manual Hands-On Therapy" Sofia is able to improve and correct soft tissue restrictions, where conventional physical therapy inherently fails, as a result from the stress or injury as well post surgical recovery to the musculoskeletal system. Functional exercise prescription improves the quality and endurance of the patients' as well as athletics' performance.
